Reatec AG — Swiss-made temperature indicators since 1973

Reatec made its humble first steps in a barn in Oberbüren in 1973 with only five different temperature thresholds available for the first few years. The company has remained owner-managed ever since and quickly expanded its production, supplying primarily the European market in the first fifteen years. By 2000 Reatec had started to supply globally, with customers in South America, Canada and Australia. It expanded its catalog to hygiene indicators ten years later, which have now become an important part of the product line. Today, Reatec is focused on supplying the best irreversible temperature indicators possible while expanding the portfolio — most recently with the new reaPoint 5.

Reatec indicators are designed to solve problems — those that regular thermometers cannot solve and dataloggers are too expensive for. As varied as our customer base is, just as individual are their problems. And such problems require individual solutions, which is why we work very closely with all of our customers to use the high flexibility and customizability of our indicators to tailor them to each specific use case just as the customer needs it.

Reatec irreversible temperature indicators are used in many different industries and each one has a wide range of specific use cases. From metalworking such as in coil coating, to construction, textile and food manufacturing as well as shipping and logistics, our indicators assist customers in maintaining quality control and help ensure a safe process. They can be used to verify if freight or products in storage remained below a certain critical temperature or they can be used to verify that a necessary temperature threshold for a welding or fusion process has been reached.
